Termination Lump Sums

Payments made to employees on termination may be added to the payslip by selecting the system termination lump sums item as follows:

Add (next to Payslip Inputs) > Termination Lump Sums.

The following fields are available to enter termination payments for the employee:

Severance Payment (for more information on this field, see the following article):

 Long Service Payment (for more information on this field, see the following article):

NOTE : An employee will not be simultaneously entitled to both long service payment and severance payment.

Other Termination Payment:

Any other lump sum payment or gratuity paid upon retirement or termination of any office or employment or any contract of employment.

Payment in Lieu of Notice (for more information on this field, see the following article):

Select the “Months” option for the Notice Period Expressed In… field if the length of notice given by the employer or employee has been given in months.  In this case Number of Payable Months and Average Monthly Wage must be entered and Payment in Lieu of Notice = Number of Payable Months x Average Monthly Wage.

Select the “Days or Weeks” option for the Notice Period Expressed In… field if the length of notice given by the employer or employee has been given in days or weeks.  In this case Number of Payable Days must be entered and Payment in Lieu of Notice = Number of Payable Days x Average Daily Wage.
